Okay I've read the sticky. I've printed out the forms and given them to my academy. They said they were on the job and processing everything for the tax refund. Now they believe the government will deposit the tax refund into my account.
however that is not how the sticky has led me to believe things are supposed to work.
What form is the school supposed to give me for taxes? Do I have to go to the tax office and get something to show them that they owe me a refund.
I think they are just as confused as to what to do as I am as this is a new school.
Help! |

My school has withheld taxes from my salary the past year, albeit I'm still in my exemption phase (this is my second year here). My outfit won't give this back unless I provide them with my IRS 6166. Mine is on the way as I write this, and I should be going to the tax office later this week. Hopefully this form will be enough for me to get the refund.
I'll post an update when I get back from my local tax office. I hope to hell I don't have to make a trip to Seoul to get this refund. But if they give me static here, it's off to Seoul, as I don't know what else I can provide my country bumpkin tax office if this form ain't good enough.
Stay tuned. This should be good. |
