A couple of friends of mine told me that they work for a public schools that are ordering them to start working either (1) at a different public school as of March 1 or (2) must sign a new contract as of March 1st regardless of the length of the current contract already completed.
Each situation is for a different friend.
Is situation (1) legal? They are also forcing him to sign a new contract with new rules. He has been told that he'll be fired if he refuses and that EPIK will blacklist him. His recruiter has been telling him all of this. Is there anything he can do?
A told told her that she must sign a new GEPIK contract for March 1st and that they must void the old contract. A lawyer in Seocho told this teacher that a new contract was not needed. So why is GEPIK asking her to sign a new contract?
Is this GEPIKs new policy? |

I can only speak for EPIK. The POE or district office routinely reassigns foreigners to different schools every once in a while. I have never heard of them making anyone sign a new contract. That's breach of contract if they fire you and you could take them for a whole lot of money. |
