I've just been summonsed by the monarch to the sacred samushir.

I can't stand the meetings, its always a grilling, like a venomous snake wrapping itself around you and striking at the weak points.

Sick of this shit.

Twisted Evil

Just turn in your month notice. Go to immigration. Prepare an exit order. Leave, then come back. Interview and get a new job beforehand.

If they fire you, it just happens faster, and actually is a benefit.

Problem solved.

Hey - look on the bright side: at least you can't complain he's treating you differently from a Korean.

Word up--next time, hit the 'eject' button before it gets to this phase. Apparently we ALL see this sooner or later. We are loved when we first arrive (yet they know not a thing about us), and then we are treated like dogshit after they get tired of us later (yet we're the same ol' folks who act the same ol' way day-to-day).

Yeap. Reap the good times and get out when the fair-weather fuckers start giving you the hate treatment.

Somehow your avatar seems fitting to the occasion.

So if they fire me, will it be fairly easy through immi?

Thanks. It fits this whole 'end of the world' feel that has enveloped us of
late.

Anyway, if they fire you, getting back in the saddle should be as easy as gimche pie. However, you may have to make a trip back to the home front for a couple pieces of paper if you do get sacked. But then again, maybe not. Look into it.

I had a boss in the US (the CEO of a nationwide marketing bus.) (almost 3 decades ago) who held weekly, four hour long meetings, with upper management and officers. Mostly it was a BS session, a big waste of time. At least there was food and booze. The others all agreed that the boss was using us as his surrogate family. Those of us with spouses and children at home didn't appreciate these late night intrusions. The spouses started to hold counter-meetings.

In the end, you either have to suck it up or quit.

I mean I've been thinking lately too accept all the shit and just roll with it; another job in Korea is almost certainly going to involve the same shit.

Anyway they wouldn't be firing me, my contract is up for renewal and they've been stalling putting the actual contract up in front of me until the last minute which makes me suspicous (maybe unnecessarily so.)

But, *beep*, my spidey sense is tingling.

Your spidey sences may be tingling but it could also be just the "last-minute" thing that is Korea. You know Koreans are about as organized as a litter of puppies.

How the hell do you get fired from an ESL job in Korea (much less 2 times in a year)? Shocked
