I have what seems to be a common issue of the PS3 functioning fine except for the ability to properly read discs. It's nearly a year old so my warranty is expiring, besides, it would be too much of a hassle to send it all the way back to the states to get it fixed.
Through another thread I learned of an AS support center in Seoul but they only will service Korean bought products so they couldn't/wouldn't help me out.
I was wondering if anyone else has been in a similar situation and got their system fixed by a third party and was happy with the results. I live in Incheon, so preferably whatever option would be in or close to there. I was thinking of going to Yongsan and seeking out someone there, but I figured it would be good to at least and try to get a rec because I hear there are many shady operators there. |

I can't believe that an authorized Sony repair center would only service Korean-bought products, especially if it's still under warranty. I would just say contact Sony and see what to do. |
