I just got a job in Incheon, pretty happy about it.

I didn't lie or anything on any health forms to get the job, but I have a minor health condition that might or might not require some prescription medication at some point down the line. Is it everybody's experience (who has had to go to somewhere in Korea to get medicine) that this sort of thing is easy to do?

Getting meds in Korea is MUCH easier than in Canada, especially stuff that should be more controlled, like xanax and antidepressants.

You should have no problem getting whatever you need. Just know the generic and commercial names and you'll be fine. Unless of course it's some sort of strong opioid painkiller, with which you're totally F'd. I broke my hand and they gave me something weaker than codeine.

You'll be fine.

That is absolutely incorrect.

The first time I visited my doctor about a cold I have, he offered me xanax. He asked about my job, I said it's stressful at times. He asked about my sleep. I said it's not as good as it should be. He offered me 60 .5mg xanax.

I'm sure people's experiences will vary, but I'm not talking out of my ass here.

You shouldn't have a problem getting prescriptions refilled. Just find a doctor to go to. I'm not sure of the services in your area, but I went through a few doctors before I ended up finding the place I go now.

One of the problems you have to keep in mind (which means getting this done earlier than last minute) is that sometimes doctors here don't consult with you, but just unilaterally decide to change your medication on you, and with the language problems, you might not even realize it was done until you run out of your medication halfway through the period it was supposed to last. So, make sure you know EXACTLY what you want, and that you walk away from the conversation knowing EXACTLY what you got. I had two doctors here keep changing my medication on me without asking me if I was okay with it. And no, I was NOT okay with it.

Plus they seem to only like giving enough meds for 3 day intervals. That is very annoying

Ahh, sorry, I was confused, because the oral maintenance dosage for xanax is 3mg, not 1mg. Sorry. No, you can't get actual *maintenance* dosages of C-4's from doctors here.

I hope nobody has had any experience of NOT being able to get some needed medication.
