|
|
My boss has thrown me into 3 kindys, with no resources, and I'm sick of doing the hokeypokey, and head, shoulders knees and toes with these poor kids.
Could any one help me out regarding a good book for lesson plans / kindy curriculum? I've broached this subject with my boss, and I think he'll be paying for it, I just need some advice around what's good to buy!
Thanks so much |

Why not get a collection of flash cards and play memory games or Simon says games.
This will help them get more vocab.
You could also start with basic grammar structures. |

Also get yourself a copy of "Wee Sing - fingerplays and songs"
You should be able to find it at Kim and Johnson's or Young Kwang book store.
Good luck with kindy....I was never that good with the younger ones. |

Happy House and Teddy's Train were pretty good for me. I personally like the books with catchy songs and lots of coloring.
Happy House did serve as a good release for me when I taught my first year and was near my breaking point. I ended up just spending my kindergarten hours speaking in crappy fake English, Scottish and Irish accents. |
