I'm thinking of returning to Yonsei's Korean Language Institute full time starting this fall, but I need to secure a (legitimate) hagwon position somewhere in the vicinity. Any recommendations? Where should I look? And what sorts of questions should I be asking to determine legitimacy?
Any advice/insight you can offer is appreciated. Thanks. |

This thread doesn't seem to be getting much love. Let's start with this:
I would like to find a quality hagwon position starting in September or October. Having never worked a hagwon before, I'm not sure exactly what I should be looking for (things that 'show' quality vs. things that 'show' run-for-the-door).
I'd love it if someone posted a hagwon how-to guide of sorts.
What sorts of questions should I be asking to determine legitimacy? What conditions should I try to find? What conditions should I walk away from?
Let me know your thoughts. Thanks very much. |

| P.S. I live in Seoul. Come August, I'll have completed a year with SMOE at a middle school. I suppose I'll start by looking around the Yonsei area, but I was hoping some folks might point me in the right direction. Appreciate it. Thanks. |
