Remember that in 1970s Korea, police officers patrolled the streets taking tape measures to miniskirts to stop females from showing too much flesh.

Cops must have loved that...

Isn't it currently illegal, not just socially unacceptable, for movies or magazines to show full nudity? That's the impression I get from the *ahem* Korean made adult magazines and movies.

Back probably about fifteen or so years ago, I had a class of exactly 100 students, which was almost exactly split male/female. This was in a Buddhist-foundation university, although the students were divided Buddhist, Christian, or no belief fairly evenly. The students were from a variety of majors, came from various socio-economic backgrounds, etc. I thought it was a great class to take a cultural snapshot.

I handed out a survey, which was kept anonymous. I asked questions about many subjects, some controversial, including smoking, drinking, sex, view of US military, religion, etc. Some of the results were quite interesting; I'll have to see if I can find it sometime. I'll bet the results today would be very different.

I have two friends who spent three months in jail for full frontal nudity, so no, this country probably still isn't ready for that.

In the movie Munich, when Daniel Craig and Eric Bana shoot a girl that killed their friend, her robe falls open and you can see her landing strip, at the theater I saw it. And then there was another video I watched a couple of years ago that showed a closeup of some French chick's forest (can't remember the name-it was about two guys and one girl in college)

But, if you watch most of the stuff on TV, even the breastesses are blurred out.

I think Koreans have a lot more sex than Westerners, they're just more secret about it and they rarely sleep with the person they love / married.

How many sexies does a Westerner have?
How many does a Korean have?

Where's the data here?

Maybe not. Dr. Kinsey's research in the US decades ago demonstrated people were doing all sorts of sexually "wild" acts, just that they didn't talk about them like people do now.

Still, I'd be interested to see the results if you can find them.

Shocked Where and why were they nude? Was it in public or something? And if that kind of thing is illegal, I don't get how it be shown in Korean movie theaters like in the movie Munich, as Roadwork saw... but then this country is full of contradictions, isn't it?

Get real. Your bonehead friends did it on live daytime television. It was a show targeted at adolescents as well. Showing your male organ to a group of middle schoolers would get you thrown in jail just about anywhere.

It's part of the reason I'm heavily considering never dating a Korean. I know they're not all like that, of course, but the risk is too high. I hate people who aren't faithful when they're clearly in a good relationship. If they're not in a good relationship, I can sympathize, but here I don't think it matters either way.
