Q6600 or E8400 or Q8200.
But prices are pretty high right now (about 18% up) for all CPU's because of currency BS.
If possible, I'd wait about 6 months until the LGA1336 motherboards and i7 CPU's come down in price. Then build a more future-proof system. |

Depending on your usage/ demand, the e7300 is a decent budget dual core with enough guts to do alot of stuff, good OC overhead as well. |

The new Phemon II is getting rave reviews for its speed, pricepoint, and overclocking ability. It's not as fast as the I7, but similar to the 9000 series Intel Quads, and easily overclocked.
Too bad Korea, of course seeks more of a premium.
A good thing, though, is that as soon as the Phenom II started getting good reviews after being released, Intel dropped the price of the 9000 series chips A LOT. We haven't quite seen this drop in Korea yet, I think. |

Answer to the OP's question is the E7300.
Most bang for the buck that's actually fast would be the E8400. |

Thanks. I see the E7400 is about the same price at the moment. |

Around August last year the best dollar/performance ratio was (according to Tom's Hardware colated benchmarks) the Athlon 6400+ X2. You can find them for about 15 man. Seems that Tom's doesn't do the price/perfomance graphs anymore though. New management booo. |
