|
|
i have an E2 visa and ARC card that are valid until end of march.
at least i think so.
i quit my job in november to do some travelling.
now im in thailand and i want to come back to korea for a week
or 2 to sort out some things.
my boss says she hasn't notified immigration that i am not working for her anymore.
BUT she says she has told her tax agent, and yesterday she told my health insurance that i am not working for her anymore. so im wondering if its the tax company or the health insurance peoples' reponsibility or duty to notify immi about my status or not
does anybody know what the process is for cancelling a E2 visa?
am i safe to return to korea next week with my E2 visa?
(i do have a re-entry permit)
is there some way i can check my E2 visa status?
(without arousing suspicion)
when i go thru incheon immigration will they be able to tell if my visa
has been cancelled or not? |

| just guessing, but would it matter? if you return on the e2 (with the re-entry stamp), that should be fine... if your visa has expired, wouldn't you simply get a tourist visa? |

| if you're just coming for a week or two, simply enter on a tourist visa. no big deal. |

ok one of the things i have to do in when i get there is i am applying
for a japanese tourist visa.
i can only apply for a japanese tourist visa if i have a valid E2 visa for korea.
is there some way i can check the status of my E2 visa? |
