I'm actually in Canada right now. There are some Koreans here who want me to teach them one-on-one though.
I'm just wondering, from people who've done it, what is the best course of action to take while doing this to make sure that they're not wasting their money. How do you usually teach and what do you use as teaching aids? Articles or TV? Movies? Also, what's a price that's fair, but profitable. One of the ladies drives a Benz so I know she must have money. |

Only 3 students signed up for my summer intensive, so on some days it was one-on-one. I liked to use the lessons on English Baby. There's always vocabulary, an introduction that is helpful, then a video, or a dialogue, followed by a short conclusion with discussion questions...or you could follow this sort of format yourself and use just about any kind of media. I would sometimes make up my own worksheets based on the lesson. |
