Did you actually buy that vanity, or did you go dumpster diving? Seriously, young Koreans won't touch that style (even though I thought it was kind of cool -- my wife wouldn't go for that). |

I bought it. I paid 100,000 for it used and I love it a lot. Obviously I'm not a young Korean. Thanks for the kind note of confidence about dumpster diving.
Actually I'm probably going to ship it home. Just advertizing just in case that falls through.
I lived in Korea when I was a kid and this is the kind of furniture I remember... my folks have some of this same stuff and it really is beautiful. It really is cool and when I'm an old lady they won't be making these things any more and it will be a lost art just like everything else tradtional in Korea.

I guess it's a fair question. I have a mirror in the same style and I love it but... it was abandoned in my last apartment by the previous tenants. (Not quite dumpster-diving, but darn close.)
I'm also thinking about shipping it home when I leave.  |
