Check out BoA's, "I did it for love" featuring Sean Garrett below.

Edit: Updated with a higher quality file thanks to aliks!

Personally, I think "I did it for love" is much better than "Eat you up."

I don't understand how people can listen to stuff like this. It's one of those great mysteries like ghosts, the Easter Island statutes, and static electricity.

Boa is terrible IMO.

I hate virtually all her songs, and I think she is talentless wonder who somehow made it to the top of Asian charts by being a cute little Korean girl with only some "cool" dance skills

When I heard I eat you up I thought it was freaking terrible...

But I have to admit, it has a good catchy beat in the clubs when it starts playing... but that doesn't say much about her talent... as she's not the one producing.

As for the boyfriend...well, I guess we'll have an Asian version of K-Fed now

she's popular because she is a good singer and a better dancer than most performers in the world.

Just because you don't like her genre of music doesn't make her music bad.
And just because she's mainstream(or at least is in Japan) doesn't make her a bad singer.

Seriously, way too many people on this board complain about how pop music sucks just because it's popular and mainstream.

Cute and dance skills. . . she still beats Paris Hilton by two qualities then. Twisted Evil

I am sure there were some other skills involved in working her way to the top of the charts.

Looks like BoA's got no love for the majority of foreign English teachers.

Non-cheesy? Non-greasy? I guess that rules out everyone who listens to her music.

The other day, I swear I heard a Korean pop song that started "Hey western boy! I'm an Eastern girl!" Then the rest of the song was in Korean. I think I heard it on a bus or something.

You mean like BJ's? hahahahha

lol joking aside, being heavily interested in Korean and Japense music I pretty much love everything.... I don't think there is anything i didn't like. However, Boa was the only exception. The quality of her voice is scratchy and too trilly. Which really makes me wonder how is she a good singer?

She always sounds like she's whinning for something. Listen carefully, at the end of her voice there is like a... "begging crying little girl" quality at the end of her notes.

She does have a "hip hop" quality to her voice. But it's annoying. I don't see how anyone finds it particularly talented. If you listen to "love bug, by Boa and M-flow (which is japanese) and "I'll eat you up" it's definately a little girl whinny with some posse hip hop mixed voice.

but I do think some of her dance moves are "decent".... they don't appeal to me but they are realatively impressive.

no... not really.

there's good pop music and bad pop music and REALLY bad pop music.

K-pop tends to be of the last 2 varieties, with an uncomfortable percentage being in the LAST category

I like some of her ballads; not really a fan of her dance music.
