Hi,
spyro25 was organising a trip there earlier in the year on the board will do it later in the year if there is enough interest, may check PM's.
As for working there, there have been reports online, I believe it is only done through their embassy in China and there may be a waiting game of luck/ timing to get the visa. But I have never tried.
G'luck. |

I was going to leave this thread alone, but I just have this aching need to state the following: Why would you want to teach in N Korea? |

I ask once again, as always, how could you be interested in supporting a regime that kills hundreds of thousands of people every year (a conservative estimate)? You do realize that all the money you spend going there will support the current regime and their human rights violations. If you are cool with the mass slaughter of innocent people then I know a travel agent that can arrange for you to travel to Dafur and Rwanda too. |

Have fun working there because when Kimmie or his lackeys decide to do something dumb - you`re gonna be bombed back to the Stone Age. |

American? Forget it.
Other ethnicity? Take a 3 day tour for 3,000 USD.
Want to see it for a day? The tours are now closed.
Want to teach there? Might as well hit up the middle east and make more money for the same amount of repression. |

People join the US army all the time, or work for the US government without even thinking they work for an organisation that does more twisted things than N. Korea. |

OP... who knows, if you go to North Korea to teach English, think of it like the most evil hakwon in the world. They may NEVER let you leave! And have you seen how English classes are run there?!?!
It's just listen and repeat. Over... and over... and over again. I wish I could direct you to the video that showed North Koreans learning English, but it's lost on me.. |

u obviously have no idea what goes on in saudi arabia. read a book. then get back to me when u open up that pea sized brain of urs and stuff something inside more than beer and ignorant propaganda.
u think they dont torture people in SA? u think they dont beat women on a daily basis? u dont think they fund terrorism that exists all over the world? u think they dont take our money and laugh behind our backs? its small minded people like u that refuse to see the truth and want to brush it all off because u think ur capable of critical thought. here's a news flash... ur not. |

Certainly, there are many repressive aspects to life in Saudia Arabia. On the other, at least people are allowed to leave Saudia Arabia without putting their lives and families in danger. At least, people are not suffering from malnutrition. |
