Does anyone have an idea as to how I might put together a winning demo lesson for a University level teaching job? It's a demo for an intermediate level conversation class and is supposed to take up 30 minutes.
The school wants an active and fun teacher. Any ideas? I'm going to do some searching, but I need all the help I can get. |

Good luck, but if you need all the help you can get, then surely your not cut out for the job in the first place.
Just my initial thoughts. |

It sounds like they're doing what universities back in the states do to hire new teachers. What's important is to make sure that the material you present is presentable, understandable, and that your presentation is engaging. Avoid controversial material. Humor is usually quite welcome, as long as it is understandable and appropriate.
If you know the subject matter, make sure you have the full spread of what you're going to be talking about before you do the presentation so it doesn't sound like you're either winging it or don't know what you're talking about. |
