I was watching t.v. today and that group of guys that are on every 10 minutes on every channel were lifting weights.

The weights were attached to a rope and a stick that went up their ass crack when they lifted.

I don't get it? Wtf?

When they lifted a barbell over their heads it pulled a rope with a wooden stick up their ass. It was that blonde guy and his mates. The winner was the guy who could pull it the most.

The stick was actually inserted into their anus? Or just a poking thing?

The show you are talking about is Moo-Han-Do-Jeon (translated as 'Infinity Challenge' in English).

Think I saw that a few months ago (or more). They were trying to break the stick across their cheeks, proving they had a chiseled rear and arm strength. Of course, there's no comedy but slapstick in the land of the sparkling, so it was an impossible feat that only resulted in red faces splinterful enemas.

My girlfriend claims there is actually wit on that show, and that those dudes say funny stuff, as well as just act like idiots. I'm skeptical...

It's still VERY Korean humor, but Yoo Jae-seok (Infinite Challenge) and Kang Ho-dong (Star King, 1 Night, 2 Days) are actually pretty funny guys. Most of the other guys on their shows are there for color and antics, but if you watch the shows enough and get to know them, the main guys usually dish out some non-bunghole related humor.

it was a strength test to try and break the chopsticks. They kept adding more chopsticks.

It's not really a comic sketch to do this. It's an Ancient Korean Test of Strength. It's also why Koreans are over-run more than the French.

Why on Earth watch that crap. Korean humor is pathetic brainless garbage. That bleach white bowl cut moron needs a decent smack in the head.

Maybe. The guys from that show have spread out over three quarters of comedy show on Korean TV now. And yeah, they're loud and obnoxious.

I'll vouch for 1박2일 as pretty much the only consistently watchable show on Korean television. They travel to some pretty cool places in Korea and do a lot of old-school traditional Korean stuff (farming, fishing, etc.), and 노홍철 (the blonde freak) is nowhere to be seen.

Their trip to North Korea through was an awesome, emotional show.

Didn't someone tried to stab the blonde one a year or two back? I know how they feel if I got exposure to those tossers every 5 minutes on every channel every time I turned on the telly!

I want the rushee cashee girls back on the box - chingle chingle! Razz
