We are having grad week this week and next at our public school.
All the Koran teachers are practicing dance and singing in their classes.
I was made to teach normal classes to 30 yawning , bored, eye glazed over students. Seven days of this will be a thrill. |

Do you have to teach what they tell you to? Show movies if you can. I told my co-teachers the kids were being brats and I was going to show a movie, and they didn't care.
Can you do something easy and fun for them, like print out a bunch of comics with blank word bubbles and have them make their own comics in groups? That'll keep 'em busy for the whole period, trust me. And when a group finishes one, give them another one to do. |

Wallace and Gromit "The Wrong Trousers", has a run time of 30 minutes which leaves just enough time to run through it quickly to ask some questions about key scenes. |

I played pictionary all week with my kids. Most of them were really into it. and the ones that werrent went to sleep.. It takes virtually zero effort to complile a list of words (just google pictionary words) and its a lot more fun than trying to teach. |

i gave my kids a choice: english learning game, movie, or free time. and i stressed the learning part in hopes that they wouldn't choose it (and none have yet!). my main co-teacher isn't happy, but i am. |

I showed my students two episodes of Mr. Bean (i.e. The Curse of Mr. Bean and Mr. Bean Rides Again), giving them chocolates for answering CCQs and having them explain what's happening with the video's sound turned off. It went well, as it was the last day of regular classes at my public high school. |

I am at middle school so I just did the two episodes of Mr. Bean and told them to write sentences about it.
I can't believe that some of them actually made some sentences.
We watched Mr. Bean Hair and Mr Bean Militia. |
