|

Hello...
I am looking to find some Korean drumming lessons...not the little drums that bang, but the huge drums that are propped upright and played standing up.
I have had a look on the net, but seem to have come slightly stuck so if anyone can advise any possibilities here in Korea (preferably Seoul) then that would be amazing!!
Thank you! |

There appears to be a hagwon for those big drums attached to my gym. I've only been able to peek in a few times, and there were adults playing, not kids, so you may be in luck.
It's about a 10 minute walk from Yangjae Station on the orange line.
Send me a pm if you want specific instructions. |

I won't actually be going back to the gym until Monday, at which point I'll see if I can find a phone number for you, then post it here. If you speak Korean, or get a friend to help you, they'll be able to get you there much better than I'm about to do...
Come out of Yangjae Station, exit 5, and walk straight down that road - you should be going downhill, walking towards Maebong Station - walk maybe 400m til you get to a Crab restaurant, complete with giant crab on roof, and a GS gas station - turn right at those lights - this intersection is called Yangjaecheon Hwaguk Sageori - walk down the hill towards Yangjaecheon (stream) about 200m. On your right side will be a gym called H2 Total Fitness Club - go down the stairs toward the gym, and the big drums and the drum hagwon are down there too. If you get to a major intersection with traffic lights, you've gone too far.
Clear as mud? |
