|
|
I'm hoping that someone can help me with this really quickly.
I heard today that I had to do a Teaching demonstration for my university interview tomorrow evening.
It was supposed to be conversation only but then I got a call to add the Writing portion too.
I've never taught writing formally ( 3 years in a hogwan) and it's only 20 minutes.
What should I include, what should I not waste too much time on.
There are so many aspects of writing to focus on that I don't know which way to go.
Help please |

If you've only got 20 minutes for the whole thing there isn't much you can do with writing.
How about having your discussion portion of the class, then very briefly review Yes-No question forms and Wh-question forms and have the students write one of each type of question about the discussion? |

Intro: what is essay writing? Perhaps emphasize standards of academic English, genres, essay styles, etc. |

Thanks very much for the ideas.
I did also think about concentrating on essays and a general "How to" and the different parts of an essay.
The limited time is a problem though so we'll see how it goes.
Thanks again. |
