I don't remember if it was broadcast here last year (I ended up watching it online), but I know it was broadcast here 2 years ago (the year "The Departed" won), and it was horrible to watch. The commentators spoke over the acceptance speeches and generally ruined the show.
If you want to watch it, I'd recommend finding a site online that will show it.

OCN will have it live though with korean commentary overriding the english, it can be very annoying why dont they just type subtitles?

They probably don't subtitle it because it's a live broadcast and I would assume it's quite difficult to subtitle a live show.
If OCN is airing it live, then I'll watch in on OCN and cue up a stream for it for the audio.

Yeah it was shown live last year. The commentary isn't too bad as there weren't any Korean movies nominated Wink

Best to download the HD version from the States the day after it's shown............but then you have to avoid TV and internet for 24 hours!! Spoilers!!

Not really. Just advice for those who are really into it and don't want it ruined by the inane Korean commentary.
