| Il Sole`s near the MBC building and the Grand Hotel in Beomeo. The other one is in Beomeo-dong. I dont exactly remember because it`s been a while since I was in Daegu. |

La Bella Cuccina.
http://www.boo.com/daegu/restaurants/La_Bella_Cucina
http://blog.naver.com/tedy95?Redirect=Log&logNo=30010536329
Soosung Gu, Doosan Oh-guh-ri (Doosan 5-way intersection)... across from Soosung Art Pia.
Be sure to reserve one of their slick, velvet, high backed, cicular booths, which are tucked along the side of the main room. Acid jazz plays lightly on the sound system, and the decor is loungy.
This is hand's down the best restaurant for ambiance and quality in the city., as long as you get a booth or aprivate room.
Napoli may be a tie.

(La Bella Cuccina is on the same map... follow the same street to the right ... past the 5-way intersection)
Owned and operated by an Italian chef, it is the most authentic. The owner selects and imports his own wine, and has a great menu.
Located across from Soosung-Mot (Soosung-pond) .. (on the multilane road that runs East-West along the pond)
After dinner, there is an amusement park across the road if you want to go redneck)
Otherwise, a walk around the pond would be tres romantique)
Both are very close to one another. Perhaps 15 minutes walk. Reserve if you like one.
Atrium is third.
Located Behind MBC broadcast Center...
French Cuisine a la catre or table d'hote.
French Provincial style decor. If you reserve a table by the back window, you will have an awesome view of the city from atop the hill on which the restaurant sits. |

i'd suggest xin chao... i've eaten there several times and it's moderately priced with an ambient, low-lit atmosphere... your date will be impressed... order the lemon chicken, or the d.i.y. spring rolls... also, it's big enough that i'd imagine a reservation isn't necessary...
however, go to the one near jisan-dong/su-seoung pond, not the one downtown... if you're at the huge 5-point intersection near su-seoung pond, look for the giant green golf net, and it's on the other side of that... after eating in the restaurant, you might like to visit the bar downstairs... they have plenty of cocktails and other drinks, and usually have a dj spinning...
afterwards, it'd probably be nice to walk around the pond, and then maybe check into one of the "hotels" nearby... one cab ride, and you're done... |
