I know there are some that have been here for a long time. I thought it would be fun to get a list of when you first came to Korea and why.
To teach is too broad and vague of an answer, please be specific. For example for the money, to travel, escape the ex or a warrant, etc.
Pretty sure BlueLake is at the top of this list and he came to teach, but I'm not sure why. So let's hear it when and why......
The list:
1. BlueLake 1984 ?
2.
3.
4.
5.
6.
7.
8.
9.
10. T-J 1991 U.S. Army |

What if you have a degree in Education and really did come to Korea to teach? Maybe I'm reading into your words something negative that isn't there, but I'm not sure if I like the vibe that I get from the words that I quoted, especially the part about a warrant. Do you really believe that a lot of teachers here are criminals trying to escape the law of their home countries? |

Haha, yes attempts at humor do translate poorly via this medium, don't they?
My point was to just be a little more specific than "to teach". Why Korea?
I'm not trying to reinforce any stereotypes, the warrant line was a joke nothing more. Some do choice to come overseas to "escape" something though, IE a bad economy, boredom, etc.....
And sorry Otherside 2007, doesn't quite make the old timers cut off...... |

Didn't really have a set time in mind. Kind of looking for the top ten or so. Ya-ta Boy, Sarbonn and others come to mind as being on the list. |

No, unfortunately there is only a plaque for the number one spot, and Bluelake already has it. Sorry to disappoint you. There are honorable mention certificates available that can be redeemed at any bar in Korea for a free beer. You just need to present the certificate with a processing fee of 5,000 won to get your beer. |
