|

I just watched an f-ed up show. There was this family: wife, husband and 2 teenage sons, all heroin addicts from Iowa. Oh, and there's a baby, the only one not on drugs. Oprah asks the husband, "Mike, did you envision this life for your family?"
Yeah Oprah. His dream was for everyone to be homeless, and high on smack all the time. Oprah says, "These people seem like a decent family except for the fact that they are drug addicts." Clapping from the audience after every clever phrase she makes.
I'm not condoning what the addicts are doing. Yeah, they f-ed up their lives and have serious problems, but do you need to exploit it?
Oh, how nice. She's going to offer contact information of residential treatment centers. "Do you want this for your family, Mike?"
"Oh yes, Oprah. I just want to make a point. We aren't bad people. We have tried to quit many times." Now all the addicts want to get off of the drug. They are cured.
Next: a pregnant mother addicted to heroin is on the show. 24 years old, 5 mo. pregnant with her 2nd child. And they show her shooting up, too.
It's nice she's trying to "help" but the questions she asks are so stupid. Asking a man if he wants that for his family? Asking the pregnant woman why she is crying? I mean, come on.
It doesn't matter who she has on the show or what the topic is...bleh.

I hate her cause she's an uneducated sea-cow who takes credit for the ideas other people have. I was given the great honour of seeing one of the early episodes with Dr. Phil (before he was proven to be a quack) and he said something pretty insightful to a couple. The first words out of that stupid walrus' mouth were "that's what I was thinking." F**** you that's what you were thinking.
She has a frigging journalism degree... the only thing close to helping people she's qualified for is teaching 6 year old Korean kids how to say ball correctly. |

Basically, all talk show hosts or hostesses give me the immprssion they are hypocritical.
But what can you expect they say instead of those "stupid " words you mentioned above.
Being too sharp, too aggressive or too emotional could change the dynamics of the programme.
All in all, people still watching TV shouldnt complain too much. Your TV gets upgraded, but never could TV programmes. |

I've always despised her! She's a big,fat know- it-all with the politically correct league of clueless American housewives behind her. She's really pathetic and smug. |

She makes fat housewives feel good about being fat instead of getting their lazy asses off the couch. "You are beautiful on the inside and thats what counts". No it's not. You're fat. Bottom line. What a pathetic piece of **** she is and all of the vile crap she spews from her cock holster. I can see her after the show with a plate of biscuts and gravy sweating while she shovels them in her mouth. And "Dr" Phil, what's with that guy? |

And she makes every person who works for her sign a legal agreement that they can't talk about her, what they see or hear off of the set, etc., or they'll be sued to hell.
The woman is all about one thing on TV, but the opposite in real life. |

Really? What happened? I didn't hear anything.
About Oprah. I love her but she is really annoying because she always interrupts the specialists and then gives her own advice. I really wonder why she does that??? People must complain a lot. Maybe she can't help herself.
Oprah's vision of creating a program that's beneficial to people is noteworthy just she's annoying. |

I think someone did some digging into his "credentials" and found that Dr. Phil isn't actually a Dr. of anything. I could be wrong... it's happened before.
As for her interrupting specialists.. I'm sure she does literal SECONDS of Wikipedia research before each person comes online. Unless she's talking with Scientology's Princess Tom Cruise. She probably has a T.C. vibrator. |

What about her "favorite things" episode, where she trots out the tens of thousands of dollars worth of claptrap that she (and everyone in TV land) simply can't live without!?
Then the clueless or lying cow has the audacity to tell everyone they overspent these last few years, and were in denial, and now they have to get real with their finances. Yes, thanks to you Oprah! She even admitted she hasn't pumped her own gas since 1983! and has her maids change her sheets every 3 days. She must be sweaty. Oh, and ever notice how she is about 5 shades lighter with makeup? Why is she not called on that? Is she ashamed of her blackness? She is so full of shyt, and we can blame the way North American woman are in general (self centered men blamers) on Oprah.
Funny how her shows are typically about what is wrong with men, yet the audience is filled with woman who have the luxury of coming to watch a TV show while their husbands are working. |

He's a doctor, but lost his license because he had a romantic affair with a client which is grounds for losing your license to practice therapy. |

The worst is that b.s. "The Secret" she featured on her show several times. Did anyone see those shows? My parents actually bought the DVD, and I watched it too. Complete nonsense.
For anyone unfamiliar with it, the idea is that your thoughts influence reality. In the DVD, they show a guy in his car worried about traffic. He's obsessing about the traffic, and his brain is giving out 'signals' to the universe. Guess what happens? He turns a corner, and there's a traffic jam. The message is that if he had thought of clear streets instead, that traffic jam wouldn't have been there.
My questions:
- where did the cars, and the people driving them, come from? How did his thoughts make the other cars go there? Don't the other drivers have free will too?
- if your thoughts have such a powerful affect on reality, why do things often surprise us? It happens quite frequently that I expect something to happen, thinking about it alot, only to find the opposite. What accounts for that, Secret?
- if reality bends to our thoughts, what would happen if half the people on an airplane expect a crash, and the other half expects a safe flight? Does the airplane make it or not?
I shudder about the fact that it's been translated in Korean, and I sometimes see people on the subway reading the book. |

People like Oprah make people think too much about themselves. She and her ilk have produced a generation of self-centered whining babies. |

Yeah, stupid The Secret. I like how they claim it's based on quantum physics, because nobody understands what that means. |
