Has anyone ever taken this or other long haul route on Asiana? Right now it looks as if this is the cheapest option I have coming from Toronto. But I think this flight is non-stop which will be a long one, and I have only taken Asiana on short haul trips to Japan and Thailand.
How is Asiana for the long trips? Do they have on-demand video at every seat? Is the food ok? I can't imagine they could configure their seating for a tighter fit than Air Canada. Any praise or criticism would be welcome.
Thanks. |

I have flown Asiana on a few of their long hauls and they are OK. Seating is better than A.C. and service is far and above what you get from any north American airline.
Some of them are seat back entertainment centers and some are drop down screens (so you don't have a choice in movie selection (it all depends on what specific plane they use that day).
It is a long flight but not that bad and better than puddle jumping a bunch of short hauls on your way to Korea.

I've taken Asiana on the US-Seoul route 3 times and they're pretty good. Every time I had a TV on the back of the seat in front of me (video-on-demand and whatnot) and twice the seat next to me was empty. I was flying to/from California though so I'm not sure if they use different planes than they use to fly out of Chicago. |

Thanks. I thought this didn't go up the first time so posted it again. Obviously I was wrong. |
