How long can a person pulling a runner stay in the country, after the hagwon cancels the person's visa, that is? Five days? Three? Immediate exit ghost?
Thanks in advance for the info.

Wouldn't you rather take a ferry to Japan and return on a tourist visa than chance it on a visa you won't need anyway?

Your question is a nonsequiter. Rolling Eyes

How do you know they'll cancel your visa?

How stupid do you have to be to hang around in K-land after you don't show up for work?

P.S. The last was a rhetorical question. Wink

You have 30 days after your last teaching day. You must, however, go into immigration, hand in your alien card and get an exit order. Your employer may or may not have cancelled your alien card. Not that it really matters. It'll sort itself out. Hopefully you're not past 30 days from your last teaching day.

Thanks Ying. I was asking for a friend, actually, who wanted to stick around for a while saying good bye to friends, possibly five days. The trip to Japan would have taken a bite out of minimal savings, and time away from said friends.

Apparently not useful at the 36 schools you've been fired from last week.

Whatever. Please don't hurt me. I'm very sensitive.
