Basically I booked a return flight for the first after I left my
hagwon job. Fast forward to today and i am still waiting on
a visa confirmation number. My question is if I get the visa
con. number can I do a visa run to Tokyo after I get into Korea?
Oh yeah I am in the states now. Thanks.

yes you can. It takes 3 days to process in Tokyo, 2 in Osaka. Your airline might ask you to show an exiting flight from Korea, as they can be held liable. You can sign a form saying that you take responsibility and they aren't liable, or you can buy an exiting ticket. But, from what I have witnessed, most Americans don't have a problem coming into the country with a 1 way ticket and no visa. Canadians have had trouble tho.
