Hello, I am dabbling with the idea of teaching in Korea. I know the won is diving, but, I find myself a college grad with no job... and its bleak here...

so I have a general sort of question to those of you that have gone back or know people that have gone back after teaching.

I want to do the Korea thing for a variety of reasons, and while I don't mind the idea of teaching, I don't think I want to be a teacher forever, ie., as a grown up job when I am done with Korea...

So.

Does the teaching in Korea experience look good on a resume for other things other than teaching? I am on the fence about going but I think I can justify it if I think that in the long run, teaching Korea could be a resume booster.

Sorry if this question is vague, I am trying to think of how to word it... but thats the best I can think.

cheers

LOL... teaching in K-land is something I would deliberately omit from my resume/history should I ever apply to any first-world academic institution to be either faculty or student.

However, it may look good to the uninformed (if you wanted to work at somewhere such as 'Ronnie's take-out' in future). Wink
