Its pretty much the same as a miniDV cam, except it used Digital 8 tapes, and also can use older 8mm tapes(less video time though)
use a firewire cable to connect it to the computer
pictures are crystal clear in good light, not so great in dark but ok.
There is an infrared light on the camera for video in pitch dark.
Its got alot of different presets for different situations.
Has stop motion.
