I'm going to be moving to Seoul next week and haven't found accommodation yet so I am looking for a cheap goshiwan/yeogwan to stay in until I find somewhere to live. I'll be working near hangyang station. Does anyone know a place somwhere round there...wangsimri....seongdong...or maybe along the #2 line?
Also does anyone know of a place to rent for a year around there..or I guess Itaewan/haebangchon (I heard these areas are cheaper?) up to 450 000w a month?
Cheers.

is your deposit being taken care of by your job? Lots of places for 450,000 but usually needs a 5 or 10 million deposit.

No unfortunately my job doesn't provide any help with housing, which is why I would like the monthly rental to be as low as possible. I have 5 mill for key money and could go up to 10 mill but would prefer not to. Do you know any real estate agents in the area? Part of the problem is that I don't live in Seoul at the moment...I might jump on a bus this afternoon and come up to have a look at the different areas and see if I can view some places tomorow... Any ideas/location info is appreciated.

Behind the Starbucks near Hanyang station are some 하숙s and also in the area between the Hanyang back gate and 왕십리 station.
