|
|
I know it's last minute, but if anyone has successfully made it through an interview with the SMOE, I would greatly appreciate any advice, suggestions, and info on any pitfalls to avoid during the interview.
One area that I heard will be asked, and I didn't find it in my online TEFL course, has to do with "how do you teach a student unwilling to learn?"
I thank you all in advance! My clock is ticking! |

| That's a good question. I'd say children love games and when he/she sees that others are having fun he/she will join in. Through participation he'll learn without being aware of getting taught. |

You could quote Confucius to him:
| Quote: |
VII.8: The Master said, "I do not open up the truth to one who is not eager to get knowledge, nor help out any one who is not anxious to explain himself. When I have presented one corner of a subject to any one, and he cannot from it learn the other three, I do not repeat my lesson."

And like Andrew said...
"Through participation he'll learn without being aware of getting taught."
The other three corners? |
