Hello,
I'm considering my options for after I finish my 1-year contract with a Hagwon-type private homeschooling school (it's an odd situation and school).
I've heard that S.M.O.E. is pretty nice, but I want to hear from you what your experiences are. I wouldn't be able to start until August as my contract ends at the end of June, so I've got plenty of time to consider my options.
Are any of you required to work on weekends? What are your hours, and classes like?
(My school has turned into a quasi-babysitting job, where I try to teach the kids, or entertain them, until they badger me into showing them a movie -- which I usually insist is completely in English, even though they don't understand it . . . gotta teach them somehow).
Thanks for all of your (helpful) replies!
-- Note: In addition to your experiences, one particular question I have is whether S.M.O.E. schools have any strict policy on religion; are any of the schools religious, or have religious programs, or is all religious talk banned? I'd just like to know for my own reference. |
