I'm heading up to Seoul for the Lunar New Year and am thinking of spending a day renting a board and snowboarding somewhere outside of the city.

The guide books mention a few places, but I'm wondering if an anyone suggest a decent (and easily accessible) hill where I can rent some gear?
What are the prices like?

Thanks

Jisan resort. about 40,000 for a day ticket, dont know what rentals were worth. If you can read korean, or get a korean friend to get online and you can book the free shuttle that goes there from various places in Seoul.

Like I mentioned in a previous thread, I would recommend that you bring your own board if you've got one rather than renting. I've rented my share of boards all over the world and it's just one big hassle. Cuz you've got to dial in the bindings just right to center your boots over both sides and most of the techs don't or don't know how.

If I would recommend one mountain, it would be Phoenix. It's the best resort, second to Yongpyon(which is farther) and it's not that far from Seoul. You can catch a bus to it at Jamsil. That easy. Just make a reservation on the bus first. But if you have to rent, then again, I suggest that you rent in the city and take it with you to the mountain.

Hope this helps. Mad
