Does anyone have any experience with this company? http://cafe.daum.net/brandonhousing
I'm planning on getting a place in the Itaewon/Noksapyeong area soon, and this place seems to have some decent deals. I also plan on popping into the local realtors, but some of the places on that sight look great. |

I know that guy, he helped me move some stuff before. He does a moving service also. He's a really funny guy, but honestly the prices he asks for housing just seems unreasonable to me. A lot of the places he lists ask for 10 million key money, and in Haebongchon 2-3 million is actually more common. I lived in haebongchon and I only had to pay 3 million key/500 a month for a 2 bedroom. |

I've been scanning the ads for months and I would agree. His prices are insane, way higher than anyone else's in the same area. (Of course, they may also be NICER than the other places advertised but we're brokeass English teachers here.) |

I've used him for moving and he was really nice and friendly.
He also just helped some friends find a place in Itaewon and he's been very helpful even after they've moved in.
I imagine the landlord sets the amount of key money and rent not him. |

I've seen a good mix on his site. Some places are 10M/500-1M a month, but There are a lot on there for 5M/500 and a few for 4M/400 or even 3M/300. I don't have to worry about the Key money so much, since my new school will cover Key money. I just need to worry about rent, and a partially furnished place of decent size for 400/month seems good.
I mostly just want to make sure there aren't any hidden fees and that he doesn't pocket your key money/rent and run. |

thanks for the info. I'll check out the local realtors and then go with brandon if I can't find a better deal. Eden realty sounds cool, but I heard they charge a high fee that's separate from the deposit/rent.
edit: Also, does anyone know of any decent places in the oksu or yaksu area? I'll be working in Apgujeong, and I checked out a couple of real estate agents in Oksu, but the cheapest place I could find was an officetel for 10M/700,000 |

All real estate agents will charge a finders fee, thats how they make money. Anyways also check the actual Realty places on the haebongchon road, I noticed that Eden Realty is closed most of the time. |

Brandon is a nice, helpful, and considerate guy; he lived in LA for awhile and is also very English-fluent. He went out of his way to help me when I moved...he even drove me across town to FedEx some of my belongings when the Post Office rejected them due to their odd sizes! |
