She's no Jack Kennedy, however.

ROME, Italy -- Pope Benedict XVI met Nancy Pelosi, the speaker of the United States House of Representatives, at the Vatican on Wednesday, both sides said in statements -- but that seems to be all they agree on... |

There is a joke from the north of Ireland I always liked..
man is stopped by 'road block' and asked "are you catholic or protestant"?.. he says " im an athiest". The reply is "But are you a catholic athiest or a protestant athiest"? |

Nancy Pelosi is what we other Roman Catholics like to disparage as a "Cafeteria Catholic." She picks and chooses whatever suits her tastes at the moment, like a typical liberal.
She's a typical Californian airhead.
But, hey, it's hard to stay well-grounded in your faith when you hail from San Fran Loony.
I find her presumptuous posturing a little galling.
And just why is it that she always has that "deer in the headlights" look? |

Show me a Catholic who doesn't do this. Or do you mindlessly follow whatever the Vatican dictates? |

I know for a fact that MITM never uses condoms even when banging thai ladyboys. |

Fair enough question; I don't believe it's prohibition against condom use, especially in the Third World, is helpful or realistic. And I don't agree that the Pope is infallible in relgious matters, an outcome of Second Vatican Council.
But I do draw the line at politicians proudly proclaiming in public their steadfast Catholic faith who while being personally opposed to abortion still defend it through legislation. Real Catholics oppose abortion, except in instances where the mother's life is endangered, and rape or incest.

Where are you getting this from? The Vatican doesn't support abortion in these incidences, does it? Sorry, but you are coming across as much a pick'n'mix Catholic as anyone else. |
