Is this for real? All you need is a certificate of employment from your employer, which they are legally obliged to give at the end of your contract.

So, um... what can be done if a past employer (and their bosses bosses boss!) has been asked for a Certificate of Employment, and they've said they will "get round to it"... months ago?

I got a "certificate of employment" from my current employer by telling them that I needed one for a life insurance policy I was signing up for. She didn't blink. She typed up a three line memo that said I work there and she stamped it.

Just lie and say you need it for some other reason... insurance, immigration, to get your pension, the police require one....just make some crap up. Get a korean friend to type it up, handed it to them and ask them to sign it.

____________ is currently employed at ____________. He/she started work on _________ and his/ her contract is up _________.

signed
stamped

Hmmm. Well the person I'm asking this for is trying to get it from a public school (EPIC).

She isn't located in Daejeon-area anymore, so she has tried calling and emailing the school/provincial office, multiple times, but... still nothing.

Going in there is a good idea in theory, but when the schools located in the middle of nowhere and isn't open on weekends... heh.

I guess you'll remember to get one before you leave your school next time, eh?

Go in person and ask for one. They have to provide one, legally.
