I think I might look into getting contacts as I'm starting to wear my glasses more and more . Can anyone tell me how much it costs or a good place to go? |

Well it depends
There are several types. I dont know them all but I will try to explain waht I do know:
There's the hard type, soft type, and one-use
hard ones go for around 170,000+ but can be used (if taken care of properly) for a year or more. Soft ones are around 60,000-90,000(?) and can be used for up to half a year-ish. One-use is self-explanatory. Not sure about hte cost though.
The hard ones are just plastic, you can't bend them, etc. It's pretty uncomfortable to wear. But, it's better for your eyes because you don't have to pinch the lenses out when you're taking them off. Also, they kinda float on the liquid of your eye. If you have allergies like I do, these are a pain and nearly impossible to use.
Soft ones are a lot more comfortable, but like I said above you have to pinch them out so it can be a bit scary (only at first).
I'm assuming one-use ones are like soft lenses except made of crappier material? But I'm not sure.
You can get them at any ophthalmic (eye) hospital/clinic. They're called 안과 (Ahn-gwa) in Korean. You can also probably go to stores that specialise in glasses/lenses, but I think the tests are more reliable at a proper clinic. |

go with the soft contact lenses, they're much easier to deal with than hard contacts and (i've heard) a lot more comfortable. i've got the kind where i throw them out every month, and cleaning them is extremely basic. i've got aosept (you can get it in korea at gmarket, sometimes e-mart, i'm sure other places too) or clearcare, and after it neutralizes and cleans your contacts, it's basically just salt water that you're putting into your eye. so you won't get red, irritated eyes from using it |
