|
|
What are the political objectives of Al Quaida? Mos Def seems to have missed the news. For the past 7 years:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wYx_EfG1yF8
It's because Mos Def doesn't believe everything he reads in the media!
"Yo, Ah's from Brooklyn! Aint nobody 'splained to me the political objectives of the Taliban! You don't know me! Ah don't believe nuthin' Ah read in the Meedya! Ah's, strong enough to hold the unpopular ideas!"
And Christopher Hitchens and Salman Rushdie *don't* hold unpopular ideas?
What's more disturbing is that Mos Def is the personification of some of the posters on this board. And Obama's voter base.
I'm also appalled that a fool such as Mos Def is allowed to speak on a TV show with grown-ups and exert some authority. |

mos def was painful to listen to. i could feel rushdie's discomfort and was awed by the patience he extended the man, who constantly interrupted to go into a nightclub act monologue. that being said, i was quite happy when christopher "badass" hitchens 'called him out'. mos def is an ignorant fool. |

That's two weeks in a row that Maher has not pulled in his guests. The week before mos def, he had on this Black professor from some ivy school who just wouldn't shut up. He belonged to the 'he who talks louder and faster wins' school. It was really painful to watch.
And his audience. Excitable hippies, sometimes.
But Real Time is a great show. I never miss it. |

You must be talking about how Breit Bart was made a fool of on Real Time with Bill Maher. Breit Bart is a buffoon.
I agree, Mos Def was out of hand on the March 27th show. But Breit Bart was plainly acting stupid and ignorant minded.

Brebart was a terrible guest too. But the professor didn't let him speak. There is more to an argument than speaking loud, fast and without pause. That's arrogant. Compare that speaking style (don't know his name) to Rushdie. |
