ok, so i'm waiting for my confirmation number (which has taken fuckin forever btw Mad Sad )

but when I go to the korean consulate in london is it right that I need another sealed uni transcript along with the application forms and so on?

i'm sure they only needed one a couple of years ago, they have one in korea, and i have to get another one, is that right?

edit: it's an e-2 visa btw

Some Korean consulates say you need to bring a sealed transcript, and then you do.

Other Korean consulates say you don't need to bring one, and so then you don't.

See. Easy.

Why do they need idiot visas? They could just hire in-country.

I've just submitted my visa application to the embassy in London and the documents you need to submit are:

Passport
One passport photo
Completed E2 visa application form and Visa Issuance number
Completed E2 visa checklist form
Visa fee (28 for UK passport holders, cash or postal order as cheques are not accepted)

Also, if you want your passport and visa posted back to you, include an SAE.

If you want a copy of the visa application form and checklist form, please send me a PM with your email address and I'll send you copies.

Then you should know linear western logic does not apply in any dealings with Kimberlies.

No... they can't "just check that"... that would make sense! Wink

to be fair to koreans, immigration and permits and things are always full of idiots who will make you wait an extra month cos you ddn't use the right colour paperclips etc

but yeah, I've been back in Enlgand since 2007, can't wait to get back on here and complain about why all the foreign teachers have to attend staff meetings in korean every week and say 'present' on the register when there are only 6 people at the meeting etc Very HappyVery Happy

Yep, its just the one page. Be careful when you're filling it in that you don't go over into 2 pages as I had to send in another form! Do you have the checklist form as well? My recruiter didn't send me that one.

It took one week after the paperwork was received in Korea.

The website for the Toronto consulate says you need a set of transcripts when you hand in your application. I really don't know why they need another set, they already used one set when they notarized my documents...

Another interesting thing: First they tell you to write the VIN on the bottom of the application form, then the visa directions tell you to write it on the top. I'm sure doing the wrong one will cause delays.
