Went to file for my pension today and found out that YBM had under-reported my salary by 600k a month, thus resulting in a smaller than expected refund. I can't believe I let myself get ripped off this way and I am fairly confident I'm not the only one they have done this to. So, If you work for YBM, or anywhere else in Korea really, CHECK TO MAKE SURE YOUR EMPLOYER IS WITHHOLDING AND DEPOSITING THE CORRECT AMOUNT FOR PENSION. Pension should be 9% of your salary (excluding housing deposit if applicable) with 4.5% coming out of your paycheck and the other 4.5% being payed by your employer. Check on this so you don't get a surprise at the end of your contract.
It was bad enough when they didn't pay me all the money they owed me at the finish of my contract, but now knowing that they were basically robbing me on a monthly basis as well. . . ouch. If you are working for these crooks, watch your money carefully, they will nickel and dime you to death. |
