Ok, I complained strongly about the ridiculous web-coding used in the Sogang site a few months ago. I know, I know, the course is free, but that still doesn't excuse bad coding. The site worked reasonably well from a IE-equipped PC. But due to the use of some badly obsolete Microsoft-centric coding, the site never worked on a Mac (specifically the audio portions.) It didn't work on Safari 3, Opera or Firefox. I even downloaded a legacy version of IE (from 2003, around when they stopped making IE for the Mac.) Anyway, nothing worked.
However, on Safari 4... everything does what it's supposed to.. BTW, the Java benchmark on Safari 4 is about 8x faster than IE and about 3x faster than Chrome or Opera and about 5x faster than Firefox.. so I obviously recommend switching to Safari 4 (it's just as impressive on windows machines..) Pages with extensive Java implementation (i.e. ESPN.com) load lightening fast..
Anyway, Sogang works (on Safari 4).. just in case any of you Mac types were interested. |
