hi everyone,
i got my police background check from the NYPD back in January. I got it notarized and apostilled on the same day. However, on the background check, it says it's valid for 60 days. It's validity is going to expire soon and I'm afraid I'll get my contract after it expires, making me go through the whole dreaded process again. Some sources I've found said that as long as it's apostilled and within 6 months, immigration will still accept it, but I just wanted to verify if anyone has been in the same situation... |

| 6 months to expiry is my understanding. Not that you could go home and commit crimes while your teaching here or anything. But you have to put the line somewhere, I guess. |

| My friend's criminal record had a three month expiry date and his university said it was no good because, get this, they applied for his visa after waiting four months. |
