Countries and cities are like people, unique somewhat, but many not entirely. Japan seems unique. A flavor and feel attends us all but we are not special. Is Korea special? There are reasons to consider Korea special, and many can say why. Near a decade, past but still in mind, I am aware of stuff from that country that makes it special. I can give examples, but I'm lazy. That's my way of asking you to tell me, tell me, t-t-t-t-tell me, |

It's a place where Koreans leave to go study law in America then return to teach English.
It's a place where it's safer to walk the streets at night than it is to drive the roads in daytime.
It's a place where just as many barber shop poles spin as crosses glow neon.
It's a place where gimchi is touted as a health food by locals with world-high rates of stomach cancer.
It's a place with new cars, cell phones and big screen t.v.s in even the most impoverished, poor neighbourhoods.
It's a place very much different but in subtle ways. |
