So I met another teacher in the department today, a Filipino girl who is very, very pretty. This surprises me, as I have met precious few beautiful Filipino women (although, when they are pretty, they're usually knock-outs).

She's deeply Christian--here as a missionary English teacher for a church, and almost immediately asked me if I'm Christian. I laughed and said no, and she pressed on, asking if I believed at all. Again, no. This scared her a little bit. Why do Christians get so shocked when they meet non-Christians, like we're inherently evil? I don't get offended or upset when I meet Christians, even when they ask if I believe, or invite me to their church repeatedly, although I know they deeply disapprove of my way of life.

But I digress. My point is this: Filipino porn. The girls in these pictures and videos look like the neglected love-child of a Spanish conquistador, an anorexic Samoan midget, and a bulldog. Yet the devout, deeply Christian Filipino girls I've met are invariably incredibly gorgeous--and, I assume, chaste. Is this some form of social evolution, or is the Philippines one of those God-hates-heterosexual-men countries?

'Chaste' is perhaps the last word I would ever associate with Filipino women.

Take her for a spin and find out if she has an electrified belt.

The Philippines (and Korea) basically became Christian because of imperial influence from westerners. It would therefore be surprising to many of them, who probably converted in an attempt to seem more modern, to find that many of us have left Christianity in the past.

Heck! they're just the same as your typical western girl, some are hard core christians some are not, the only difference is that they are much more thinner than the average western girl.

You know what they say about Catholic school girls?

I think it's the same way with Filipinas

I think the whole Filipina missionary thing is a scam here in Korea. Missionaries are supposed to go around teaching the Bible and stuff. They are not supposed to be working in hagwons. Atleast that's my opinion. I like Filipinas for the most part. I married one, best move I ever made. She rock climbs, ice climbs, goes backpacking just like myself so a good match I think. She's got cousins that are NPA(rebels) so alot of interesting stories. I agree with one of the other posters though. Women are women no matter what country they are from in regards to how quick they will spread. Missionaries working in a hagwon, that doesn't add up. Is she SDA? They have a warped sense of what a missionary is.

It's a scam. What they do is make Filipina's come here and teach English to the people that go to their church. They charge them for the English classes and pay the Filipinas under 300,000 won a month plus room and board. The church runs the hagwon or classroom and tries to get the attendees to go to their church as well. This isn't really necessary though because they take their money all the same.

One SDA (Seventh Day) missionary I knew was paid 250$ a month and her visa was kept by the pastor. She had a curfew and they would only let her leave to go shopping. She was just an English teacher and they had only Korean services. She hated it because she thought she was serving her God and found no connection with a higher purpose in Korea. She now hates all Koreans and thinks they are a blight on this earth and not of God's children.

Anyway, Koreans are beyond using near slave labor. They find and prey upon Southeast Asians because they aren't equals.

As for meeting deeply religious Filipinas... there are many. Christianity is very widespread and its one of the few actively Catholic dominant nations. There is a wide variance on how much they will open up sexually or not. Keep in mind though that in poverty stricken countries sex tends to be one of the cheap entertainment alternatives when you can't afford movies, HBO, and the internet.

That pretty much sums up the Korean/Filipino relationship.

Over and over, and I heard of Filipinos being enthusiastic or quite interested in Korea....but then Koreans pretty much take extreme advantage of it.

So sad isn't it? Koreans suck up to the countries that have absolutely no interest in them (America, Britain, etc), but neglect the countries that are interested in them so badly that I could see some really bad backlashes within the next 10 years. Places like Thailand, Phillipines, Uzbekistan, etc.
