I'm about to hand in my resignation from my elementary school in Bundang. I'm on my 3rd contract here, and I'm resigning after 6 months of this current contract. I'm hoping it will all go down smoothly but my principal doesn't like it when things don't go her way... I know resigning from hogwons can sometimes be a nightmare.. they stop paying ur salary and stuff like that... am I right to assume that she has no choice but to let me go peacefully with no bullshit? |

60 days of BS is certainly possible but there should be no games with the salary, benefits and deposit refund.

These are the people in charge of recruitment. I'll keep poking around but if they can't help they should be able to put you in contact with someone. Also have you pointed out to your principal (preferably with a friendly korean speaker present) the part of your contract that explains you don't have to pay that nonsense?

Tell him no and point to the contract. |

It all depends upon the principal.
From what little you told me about your principal, she probably will get revenge to make you an example to others. There are a multitude of ways. Leaving at the six-month mark isn't bad because then all you're owed is your deposit. |
