i was going over GEPIK's requirements and they've listed a criminal check in korea (if you've lived here for a year or more). how exactly does that work? should i walk into just any police station, show them my ARC, and ask for a criminal check? could someone write it out in korea for me please? and does anyone know how long it takes?

Yes

It only takes a couple of minutes and in Korean it's called:

"범죄경력 수사경력 조회 회보서"

Ask if school admin do it for you?
My current school did, but the previous year I had to go the local police station and get one.

I had to go to the 'main' police station in my small city - the branch stations couldn't/wouldn't do it.

It was free, quick and easy: one smeared thumb print in red, chop ink; print name and sign; wait 10 minutes while she does a data base search... and walk out with official document stating I have commited no crimes in K-land for which I have been caught or been able to bribe my way out of (yet). Wink
