FTs not getting paid on time at hogwons are 10 a penny. Bringing a load of heat to your employers door is like hitting a bees nest with a broom - the bees tend to get mightly pissed off.
My GF use to get paid late. About 5-days typically. Use to piss her off no end too, but no matter how frequently she reminded her boss that pay day was approaching, it wouldn't make any difference. Having said that, she always got paid and it was always the full amount.
I'd say either put up, or get out. You'll come off worse if you start creating problems for them. |

I think it's time we lost that attitude and started standing up for ourselves. If we all did it, maybe they would learn something. Maybe not, but at least were not laying down and letting them tromp all over us. |

I NEVER stand for getting late pay. I'm not Korean. It happened once and never again. The FTs are pay priority, and the hagwon owners need to be reminded of this.
Sure, I feel bad when a 45 year old co-worker (korean) tells me she hasn't been paid her 1.2. But, I'd feel worse if it was me.
Sure, she has to work harder, put in more hours, etc. But, she's Korean and her degree is in hotel management or some crap. Her english-e is negligible.
Stand up and get paid on your pay date or threatent o wuit and make sure you can back it up. NEVER put yourself at the mercy of these scumbags. |
