I am being 'let go' from my job, and will need to find one within the next 2 weeks.

Here are some questions:

What are the differences between public and private schools?

What will happen to my visa? My school is willing to give me a release letter so that it can be transfered to the new employer, but will I have to leave the country to make the change?

Also will I have to get a criminal background check from Canada again? The background check will be the same as it was when I got my visa last time, so I don't really see why I'd meed a new one.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Is this really a serious question? Rolling Eyes

No (if you meet the qualifications for a sponsorship transfer). The qualifications vary depending on the Immi office/officer. Nobody knows exactly what they are because they make them up depending on their mood and what you look like. Wink

If you can transfer visa sponsorship, you shold NOT need a new CRC.

Don't forget - if you transfer visa sponsorship, the 'original' expiry date of your period of sojourn will remain. This means you will have to get an extension for the purpose of work in order to complete your new contract when your current period of sojourn expires.

Yes, I am serious about the question about public vs private. I tried searching, but as we all know, the search function here blows. I will dig some more, but I'd like to hear from people who have personally experienced both.

Private school pros

Private school cons

1. Work more

Public school pros

1. Lots and lots of time to sit in class playing world of warcraft

Public school cons

Private school pros:

Lots of beautiful females you work with who want to have lots of sex with you.

You mean this:

Public school pros:

Lots of beautiful 13yo asian females in schoolgirl uniforms who want to turn you into a pedophile.

That's just cool, cause my experience has always been some woman telling me: "It costs extra if I wear the school girl uniform."

Razz

Pssst. I've never played a gnome mage. Look more closely at the picture.

If you're still confused, these two links should clear it up nicely:

Oh and I stopped playing over 6 months ago anyway.
