|
|
I have a bit of a dilemma. I currently
have my application package for GEPIK sitting at the Fedex shop near
my place. It's all set to go except for the fact that a South Korean
contact phone number is needed in order to ship it internationally. I
applied for GEPIK through Reach To Teach Recruiting, but was unable to
find the needed phone number for it. My contact South Korea in Reach
To Teach is apparently based in Taiwan (via his cell number), and I'm
not quite sure what to do in order to get my package out asap before
spots with GEPIK close. (it's not specified whether the recipient will be Reach To Teach or GEPIK, in turn which phone number would be appropriate). Any information is much appreciated as always. |

Okay, I can't claim to be an expert on anything, but my first thought was...
Why haven't you asked your recruiter?
Any worthwhile recruiter would tell you where to send the paperwork and how. They want the paperwork to go through! If the paperwork doesn't get sent, they don't collect their fee, pass GO, etc. It's in his best interest to make sure the papers get delivered.
Isn't this what recruiters are for? Why go with one who isn't going to answer the most basic of things or faciliate anything? |

I sent an email to my recruiter, it would be a little too early over there at the moment. But as an aside I think it was just forgotten information that was to be added, they're really a helpful bunch (especially since I really didn't know what I was doing and had to play a bit of catch up). Wish me luck then |

Most likely, your recruiter is contracted to fill a spot, and being late a day isn't going to hurt you a bit. Your recruiter has probably already told Gepik that he's sending them a teacher, and that teacher is you. How else does he get payed? Maybe he tells them after you mail it off.
Your contact number will likely either be your school's number or Gepik's number. Ask your recruiter.
Expect to wait a couple of weeks for your confirmation. Your paperwork is going to go into a very big stack with very few people reading it. |

Sorry you're having a bit of a confusion but if it's the application, then you're sending it directly to the address in the application. Unless they took the contact info out, the application also has the GEPIK phone number. Put that down. It's useless to put a recruiter contact number down when you're sending it directly to GEPIK. |

I also used RtT, and aplied for GEPIK, but I did not need any phone number to send my documents. I used FedEx also. The address listed in the e-mail was fine. |
