I am looking for captioning software that's easy to work with, but does not cost an arm & a leg. I've tried Magpie and found it very difficult to work with. Any suggestions?

Also, I'm looking for software that slows down the vocal speed of videos without changing the voice pitch. Psoft's (http://www.psoft.co.jp/en/) Chronostream 2 is good, but it's too expensive for me at the moment. Any alternatives?
