|
|
I ordered some stuff off the internet and it arrived in Korea, but it got delayed by customs. FedEx sent me a email that says,
"shipment requires importers registration/identification number for clearance and clearance instructions from the importer are required"
I am a bit confused and have some questions,
1. Does this mean I have to call FedEx or Customs?
2. Do they mean my ARC number, passport number or some other number?
3. What do they mean by instructions?
The value of the package, including shipping, was a little under $110 US, if it matters. |

didn't they give you a telephone number to call?
if not try the 120 number - Seoul Help Center - ask them if they can provide you w/the number to FedEx at Incheon - that IS the customs area for FedEx
they DO speak E there - very well in fact - and will tell you what you need to do or whatever.
sometimes that notice comes just before your package is delivered. but maybe there is something else - don't worry - they are very helpful and will work it out. |

Just called FedEx. I ordered some supplements from bodybuilding.com. Apparently, Lipo 6 is banned from Korea and that was what was holding up my shipment. Now I have to pay someone 30,000 won to separate the package to have Lipo 6 sent back and the flax seed oil shipped to me. So its going to end up costing me 60,000 won, 30,000 for shipping and another 30,000 to have it separated, to have flax seed oil shipped to me. The dumb part about this is that Lipo 6 is available on Korean websites. |

it may be sold here but perhaps it's banned from being imported? maybe they make it here?
I don't know but yeah, when importing supps you probably have to check first or just have it shipped to a friend and then shipped here - tho even then it might not make it.
glad you got it worked out tho. next time you'll know. |

This is why I always get a friend back home to repackage everything and label it "books". |
